Arbroath Abbey Photography Print Size:16 x 20 A rare art deco buildingWe captured this photograph of Arbroath Abbey in early 2022 while visiting Arbroath for the first time from our home in Glasgow. Most Scottish people are at least vaguely familiar with the Declaration Of Arbroath although we weren't aware that it (most likely) occurred within the grounds of this abbey. The Declaration was sent by Scotland's nobles to Pope John XXII in 1320 to assert Scotlands independence from England and support Robert the Bruces
